Dr. Ng was trained as a clinical psychologist. After having set up the Clinical Psychology Unit in the Social Welfare Department and practiced as a clinician in her early career, she returned to the University of Hong Kong as a teacher at the Department of Social Work and Social Administration. She became Programme Director (2002-2008) of the Master of Social Sciences (Counselling) programme until her retirement in 2008. Her research interests include drug addiction, psychopathology, secular and religious therapeutic approaches, and developmental work.

Target:

Graduates of MSS counselling programme. Maximum 15 participants (first come first served)

Please send your name, year of graduation, mobile number and email address to the Alumni Association (AA) at hkucounsellingalumni@yahoo.com.hk before 10 March 2012.

Fee (for Donation to AA):

□$100 (AA members) □ $200 (Graduates being non-AA members*)

* For graduates who are not yet AA members, please go to AA website http://counselling.sw.hku.hk/alumni.htm to access information for membership application.

An email notification will be sent to the successful applicant who will be asked to deposit the fee to AA’s bank account (Hang Seng Bank A/C Number 234-157089-001) for confirmation.

Submission of case material:

Participants will be requested to supply information on a case which they would like to present for consideration, using the following format:

– Pseudo-name for the client

– Background information: 1. Age 2.Sex 3.Education 4.Employment status 5.Marital status 6.Details on family 7.Brief facts of the case (including presenting problem and intervention attempted)
